Two-time Olympic champion Moritz Fürste joins thjnk as Director of Sports Marketing.

Moritz Fürste, 30, ranks among Germany’s most successful active athletes. His triumphs during his field hockey career include two Olympic gold medals, three world championship titles, three European championship titles and three Euro Hockey League titles. Fürste has been nominated for the all-star team several times and was crowned FIH Player of the Year in 2012. In June 2015, he captained the German men’s field hockey squad as they became the first of that country’s teams to qualify for Rio in 2016. He is Laureus Junior Ambassador and one of 12 athletes with a personal membership in the German Olympic Sports Confederation. In addition, he is among the faces behind Hamburg’s bid for the 2024 Olympics.

After obtaining a degree in media management from HSBA (Hamburg School of Business Administration), which he achieved as part of a work and study programme with kempertrautmann, Moritz Fürste worked on projects with the agency group while pursuing his Master’s degree in business psychology, leadership and management. “My dream was always to achieve a smooth transition from sports to a career in business.thjnk supported my career path while I was still studying and has now offered me the ideal conditions to pursue my professional career.” In his new role, he will spearhead development of the agency group’s sports marketing efforts. Sport is very important for many of the thjnk agency group’s clients, and enquiries related to sport are on the rise. Moritz Fürste feels his new position offers great prospects. “I see huge potential in sports marketing for the thjnk agency group, over and above advertising.”
