In 2012, confidence in major German banks, particularly Commerzbank, was at an all-time low. We asked ourselves: Does Germany need another bank that just carries on as before? And decided to go on the offensive. With unparalleled openness and uncompromising honesty.

Our campaign put Commerzbank back on the side of its customers. Displaying an introspective but ambitious mindset, it was criticised, celebrated, parodied and discussed – on the Internet, in the press and around the dinner table. The protagonist Lena Kuske and the grey hoodie became an iconic symbol. And people regained their trust in Commerzbank.
