Museum Barberini opened its doors in 2017. To draw as much attention to the opening as possible, we created the world’s largest invitation cards: two enormous firewalls painted by street artists. For the opening reception, we set up lighting installations to showcase the exhibits with a contemporary touch.
Our art happening not only had true cultural relevance, it also attracted thousands of inquisitive visitors, including Bill Gates. And who knows, our campaign may even have been responsible for Angela Merkel skipping Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony in favour of a visit to the museum. Little wonder that Museum Barberini was on everyone’s lips far beyond art circles.
