FOR VALENTINE'S DAY: thjnk HAMBURG DELIVERS "WHERE'S THE GAS STATION?" REDESIGNING A LEGENDARY AUDI

Updated: Aug 29, 2023

If you forget Valentine's Day, you can get into trouble. Another thing, on the other hand, can easily be forgotten: the location of the next gas station – at least as a driver of a fully electric Audi e-tron.

On February 14th, Valentine's Day, Audi and thjnk are relaunching the award-winning and popular commercial "Where's the tank?". But today people no longer forget which side of the car the tank is on - but where the next gas station was in town.

"Audi's new electric offensive changes a lot, including some very unexpected things: thanks to home charging options, there is actually no reason for e-tron drivers to visit a gas station anymore," says Roman Geoffrey Lukowski, ECD Art at thjnk.

The spot with the all-electric Audi RS e-tron GT is the second new edition of the legendary classic "Where's the tank?" with the “Audi A6 TDI”. There was already a new edition in 2010, also by thjnk hamburg. Fabian Königer, ECD Copy thjnk: “We are pleased that we were able to advertise a completely new technology with a reminiscence of Audi history. And in doing so, we are also taking a new narrative path for the Audi Brand Campaign: more product benefits and more tongue-in-cheek.”

It was directed by Nacho Gayan and shot under the direction of Stink Films near Brussels in Belgium. The story is told online in multiple assets, both in long format on youtube and Audi owned websites, and in story cutdowns on social media.
